Product Overview

Photo Works offers online personal publishing and photograph-finishing services. An account at Photo Works allows a user to upload, store, share, and print an unlimited number of digital pictures and order products designed with these pictures.

What You Get

You can create a free online account on Photo Works. This free account allows you to upload all your digital photos into your account and store them for no fees at all. You can have these photos printed in different sizes of photo paper and have them sent right to your doorstep for free, with an option for quick shipping. An account at Photo Works also provides you access to the growing online photographer community and the member stores where you can purchase photos or photo products produced by other members of Photo Works. You are also given discounts on all photo gift items (such as photo books, t-shirts, puzzles, key chains, mouse pads, etc.) offered by the company.

Company Behind It

Photo Works is now a trademark of AG Interactive, a media subsidiary of American Greetings, Inc. Photo Works is originally known as Seattle Film Works, a film studio that aimed to provide slides and photo prints. Seattle Film Works was established in 1986 and, in 1994, it was the first to offer digital photos scanned and saved in floppy disks. In 1995, Seattle Film Works introduced the direct delivery of digital photos to its customers via the Internet.

Cost

What I Like About Photo Works

Photo Works allows you to import your digital photos from your Webshots and Flickr accounts, making it easier for you to create backup copies of all your online pictures. Photo Works also caters to international clients. This means you can order your photo prints or photo gift items even if you are from any part of the world.

What I Don’t Like About It

Photo Works used to cater to photographers who still prefer to use traditional film cameras. Unfortunately, they stopped offering this service on March 13, 2009.

Do I Recommend It?

Yes. All Photo Works prints and gift items are covered by the company’s customer satisfaction guarantee so you don’t have to worry about receiving something that’s not worth your money.
